Meet Kartik, a passionate snacker with a unique culinary journey. Growing up in Singapore, Kartik's year-end holidays were spent visiting family in India, where chai time was the highlight. It wasn't just the chai that captivated him but the extensive array of snacks—everything from mixture and murrukku to banana chips, jackfruit chips, peanut brittle, and a delightful assortment of Indian sweets like jelabi and athirasam.

Kartik’s favorite indulgence was pairing sweet treats with spicy mixtures and savory crunchy bites, a combination that thrilled his taste buds. Though not everyone shared his enthusiasm for these sweet and savory contrasts, Kartik embraced his distinctive preferences with pride.

Fast forward over 20 years, after transitioning from corporate America to carving out a niche in the food world, Kartik found himself reminiscing about those cherished sweet and savory combinations. While Chicago-style popcorn was well-known, the Indian snack space lacked something that truly satisfied his cravings. After experimenting with numerous complex mixes, Kartik developed the original white chocolate boondi mix under the label "kitchpaps," which eventually evolved into the brand "doosra." Now, Kartik is thrilled to share his decidedly different flavors with anyone eager to experience them.
